Marieke lives in Amsterdam with her boyfriend Jesse and their son Louie. They’re expecting a little girl this year. She is the brand & campaign manager for Joolz and works in the HQ office in Amsterdam.
"Even though we live in the city, we try to get out as often as possible. I find it important that Louie enjoys going outside and learns about nature. He is a good walker, however he is still too small to walk the full route. So we always bring our Joolz Geo² ! Louie enjoys sitting up and looking around, and if he falls asleep we put the seat in a flat position. Which almost always happens . We are not people who live on the clock, and this gives us the freedom to explore without too much planning ahead. Just fill the basket with drinks, food, and some essentials (don’t forget the little dinosaurs) and we can leave for the day!"

But it also has some nice features to make our (city)life easy: in literally 1 second you fold it down, and due to the transport lock you easily pick it up to store at home or in the car (parent-to-be: you don’t know yet how you will love this!).
We try to teach Louie to respect nature and be conscious. I believe it’s in the small things: pick up rubbish from the streets, pass clothes and toys on to younger kids (the toys can be a problem...). I try to make clothes for him from my old clothes: all you need is 1 or 2 good patterns. Louie loves creating things from boxes we have laying around. It’s his lucky day when I bring home reusable packaging from the Joolz office !

As accessory I would recommend the Joolz Comfort cover. Especially when they are still small, this makes the cot a cosy and protected bed: protected from the sun and noise. We are definitely going to use this when our little girl is here.
